Life & Safety Codes Investigator/Plumbing Inspector
The City of Biddeford has an immediate full-time opening for the position of Life & Safety Codes Investigator/Plumbing Inspector for the enforcement of NFPA Code and adopted Plumbing Codes. This is a self-starting administrative position, which has a fieldwork component, to coordinate activities with the Fire Department, under the general supervision of the Codes Enforcement Officer and with the City Manager through the process of investigating deficiencies and/or violations of the City of Biddeford’s ordinances pertaining to NFPA,ICC , and Plumbing Codes. Employee should have considerable knowledge of NFPA, ICC, and Plumbing regulations. Demonstrated organizational and communication skills necessary with previous experience in a related field desirable. Must be a certified Licensed Plumbing Inspector from the State Planning Office and must maintain the required certification.
